What Prefably is
Prefably is an informational directory of factory-built home companies in the United States and a reviewed marketplace for factory-built homes listed by owners and professional sellers. Company directory listings are compiled from publicly available business information (such as websites, published contact details, and public ratings where shown). Directory listings may be incomplete or outdated and are not an endorsement or license verification.
Information we collect
We collect information you submit through forms, for example company listing requests, claim requests, removal requests, home listing drafts, and buyer inquiries. That can include names, email addresses, phone numbers, property location, listing photos, and messages. We also collect standard analytics and server logs about site usage (such as pages visited and approximate location derived from IP) to operate and improve the service.
How we use information
We use form submissions to review, update, claim, or remove directory listings, to review home listings before publication, and to respond to inquiries. Buyer inquiries on a home listing are sent to the seller of that home so they can reply. We use analytics to understand traffic and fix problems. We do not sell personal information and we do not auction builder leads.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
We use Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel. They set cookies and record events such as pages viewed, listings viewed, inquiries sent, and listings submitted, along with device and browser details and your IP address. We use this to measure traffic and to see which of our ads on Facebook and Instagram bring people to Prefably. We do not send the contents of your messages or forms to Meta or Google. You can block these cookies in your browser settings, and you can control the ads Meta shows you in your Facebook ad preferences.
Claim, correct, or remove a listing
If your company appears on Prefably, you can claim or update the listing or use Request removal on the company profile. Home sellers can manage listings from their account. You may also email hello@prefably.com. We typically respond within two business days after a basic ownership check.
Signing in with Google or Facebook
If you continue with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that service. We use them only to create and sign in to your Prefably account and to email you about your listings and messages. We do not post to your account, read your friends list, or share this information with other companies.
Delete your account and data
To delete your Prefably account and the personal data linked to it, email hello@prefably.com from the address you use to sign in, with the subject “Delete my account”. We confirm the request and delete your account, profile, home listings and their photos, saved homes, and messages within 30 days. We may keep a minimal record of the request itself, and anything we are legally required to retain.
If you signed in with Facebook, you can also remove Prefably from your Facebook account at any time: open Facebook Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites, select Prefably, and choose Remove. That stops Facebook from sharing data with us; email us as above to delete the data we already hold.
